At Khaat Studio, every piece is carefully selected, crafted, inspected, and packed before it begins its journey to you.

Because our products are handcrafted, each piece may have small variations in colour, texture, shape, or finish. These natural variations are not considered defects — they are part of what makes handmade products unique.

However, if your order arrives damaged, defective, incorrect, or has an issue covered by our return policy, we're here to help.

Return & Exchange Window

We accept eligible returns or exchange requests within 7 days of delivery.

To be eligible, the product must:

Be unused and in its original condition
Be returned with its original packaging
Include all accessories, tags, and accompanying materials, where applicable
Not show signs of use, washing, modification, or damage caused after delivery
Be accompanied by the original order details

Products returned without their original packaging may not be eligible for a return or exchange.

Damaged or Defective Products

We take great care when packing your order, but occasionally a product may get damaged during transit.

If your product arrives damaged or defective, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery.

Please send us:

Your order number
Clear photographs of the product
Photographs of the packaging
A short video or photographs showing the issue
A brief description of the damage or defect

Our team will review the issue and, where applicable, arrange a replacement, exchange, repair, or refund depending on the nature of the issue and product availability.

Important

For fragile products such as clay, terracotta, lamps, glass components, and delicate décor, we strongly recommend recording an unboxing video from the moment the package is opened.

This helps us understand what happened during transit and process damage-related claims more efficiently.

Wrong Product Received

If you receive a product that is different from what you ordered, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery.

We'll verify the order and, if the error is confirmed, arrange the appropriate replacement or return at no additional cost to you.

Please do not use the product before contacting us.

Exchanges

If you would like to exchange an eligible product for another product, please contact us within 7 days of delivery.

Exchanges are subject to:

Product availability
The product being unused and in its original condition
Original packaging being intact
Our quality inspection after the product is received

If the replacement product has a higher price, you may need to pay the difference.

If the replacement product has a lower price, the difference may be refunded according to our applicable refund process.

Change of Mind

We understand that sometimes a product may not be exactly what you expected.

For eligible products, we may accept a return for change-of-mind reasons, provided the product is unused, undamaged, and returned in its original condition and packaging.

Return shipping charges may apply for change-of-mind returns.

Certain products may not be eligible for change-of-mind returns. Please check the product listing or contact us before placing your order if you have any questions.

Products That Cannot Be Returned

Due to their nature, certain products may not be eligible for return or exchange, including:

Custom-made or personalized products
Made-to-order products
Products specifically altered according to customer requirements
Products damaged due to improper use or handling
Products that have been used, washed, modified, or altered
Products returned without required original packaging
Gift cards, where applicable

Natural Variations Are Not Defects

Handmade means beautifully imperfect.

Our products are created using natural materials and traditional craftsmanship.

You may notice differences in:

Colour
Texture
Grain
Shape
Weave
Finish
Pattern
Minor surface marks

For materials such as bamboo, cane, rattan, wood, jute, clay, and terracotta, these variations are natural and can differ from the photographs shown on our website.

These characteristics are part of authentic craftsmanship and are not considered manufacturing defects.

Please do not send a product back without receiving return instructions from our team.

Return Shipping

For products returned because of:

Wrong product received
Manufacturing defect
Transit damage
Other issues attributable to Khaat Studio

we will determine the appropriate return shipping arrangement.

For change-of-mind or other customer-initiated returns, return shipping charges may be the customer's responsibility.

Refunds

Once your returned product reaches us, it will be inspected to ensure it meets our return conditions.

After approval, your refund will be initiated through the applicable payment method.

Depending on your payment provider or bank, it may take additional business days for the refunded amount to appear in your account.

Shipping charges, where applicable, may be non-refundable unless the return is due to an error or issue attributable to Khaat Studio.

Order Cancellation

If you need to cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible after placing your order.

Cancellation may not be possible once an order has been processed, customized, packed, or dispatched.

Made-to-order and personalized products may have additional cancellation restrictions.
